Abstract :

Route surveys have been carried out on winter wheat fields of the central and southern regions of Uzbekistan in 2004-2016 to monitor rusts and other diseases. One thousand and two fields were surveyed in total. Results received have shown that 2004-2006, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2015 growing seasons have been extremely unfavourable for rust diseases. Growing seasons of 2007, 2014 and partly 2013 have been unfavourable to moderately favourable for diseases. Highly favourable weather conditions in 2009 and 2010 have led to the development of stripe rust in the form of epidemics. Early appearance of this disease in 2016 creates favourable conditions for development of an epidemic as well. Occurrence and severity of the leaf rust during survey years have had low values. Stem rust has been registered only once and it is not considered as a significant disease in the country.
